    We Cannot Look Away

This past month we witnessed first hand the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, by a police officer in Minnesota. There has been pain and anger in the wake of his death, but also glimmers of hope as hundreds and thousands of people across the country and around the world have come together to march and protest in solidarity.

“We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement as many across the country peacefully protest for justice for George Floyd and sweeping police reform.”  – Jordan Weisman (CEO of Sunbridge)

We cannot look away from the systemic racism and white supremacism that stretches back to the founding of our nation and, to this day, permeates the institutions across our country. These racial injustices are also very prevalent in the solar energy industry, where over 75% of the workforce is white. We must do better as an industry, and we must do better as a company.

AAAH and Sunbridge Solar are working to find ways to create an inclusive diverse solar workforce and provide greater access to the financial benefits of solar to local AAAH members and associates.
