USDA REAP Program For Solar
The USDA Rural Energy For American Program (REAP) provides guarantees grant funding for agriculture producers and rural small business. You are eligible to receive USDA grants up to 25% of the total cost of a new solar energy system.
Using MACRS accelerated depreciation, the federal solar investment tax credit (ITC), and the new Washington solar production incentive, you can cover 80% of the upfront costs associated with a brand new solar panel system.
Your business must be a Small Business under the Small Business Administration (SMA) or an Agricultural Producer. The USDA REAP can be used for any non-farming business, such as storefronts, automotive repair shops, self-storage, and more! As long as the business is located in a USDA-Defined Rural Area you are eligible for this solar grant.
